I’m a 22 year old student here at Purdue majoring in Communication with a minor in Military Science and Leadership. For the past four years I have been a full scholarship cadet with Army ROTC. I was selected as the battalion commander last semester. I have competed in Ranger Challenge for the past four years and was the Ranger Challenge commander last year. I am a brother at Phi Delta Theta and love Purdue football! I have participated in Habitat for Humanity and volunteered my time at the YWCA domestic violence shelter. I believe I can contribute to the Boiler Volunteers through my past leadership experiences of serving as the cadet battalion commander and as a platoon leader at Fort Bliss during CTLT(cadet troop leadership training). BTFU!

I am a motivated individual who will work hard until the job is done. On the flipside, I'm pretty relaxed and work well in a team setting. Working as a high ropes challenge course facilitator this past summer, I learned a lot about meeting people at their level and collaborating together towards a common goal. I also had hands on experience with conflict resolution and learned a lot about patience and working things through calmly and with maturity. I bring my lively sense of humor to the team as well as a strong sense of responsibility and organization. Go team!

Hi! My name is Kristen and I’m a proud member of the Boiler Volunteers! I feel that one of my strengths is my creativity, and I hope to bring some of this to our group though innovative ideas and a different perspective. In the past I have worked as a lifeguard, which involved working together as a team to achieve goals and to assure the well-being and safety of the patrons. I have also worked at a Purdue Swim Camp, which involved helping swimmers with their stroke technique. My experience at the camp can be translated into our group project, because I have the ability to give appropriate feedback when necessary. My most recent job was at the Purdue Telefund. This job taught me to be more persuasive—which will come in handy if we need to get people to contribute to our cause!!
All jobs aside, I’m not opposed to boosting group morale through use of tasty treats either—I will bring food for our group whenever I can : )
Josh
I’m a 21 year old senior in Agricultural Engineering and I am working toward a minor in Economics . Throughout my time at Purdue, I have been involved in many activities on campus. I have led activities for Fall Space Day every year, helped design and build concrete canoes, and I am currently the Ag Ambassador for our department’s club. Outside of the classroom, I like to play ultimate and hang out with friends. For the Boiler Volunteers, I will bring new ideas to the group. With my engineering background, I have experience with problem solving. I am an information seeker and I like to understand the details, so I will ask for clarification of suggestions. I am very open to all ideas and I will be an observer and listener within our group. I am laid back, but I also like to get things done, so I will work with our group to meet the needs of the organization we work with.
